WGA/Social League
All Village Ladies are welcome to join this league. The league does not play for points or prizes and as a result of this, we do not require you to have a handicap. The applications are on our bulletin board at all the Pro Shops and on this site under Application. We play Wednesdays, April thru mid October.
We are now accepting membership dues for 2008. Send your application (available at golf course bulletin boards and our web site) and check for $5.00, made payable to "WGA Social League" to: Erin Garrison, 156 Maderas Drive, HSV 71909.
September 10, 2008 9:00 A.M SHOTGUN The 18-hole Ladies WGA SOCIAL LEAGUE of Hot Springs Village cordially invites you to our Fifth Annual Ladies Invitational at the beautiful DeSoto Golf Course. Our League is strictly social...no competion...no prizes... no points... just camaraderie for all. Play your own game and enjoy the fellowship of others without the competitive pressure or intimidation. This is our Fifth year to host an Invitational and all ladies are welcome, whether you belong to a league or not. Handicaps are not required. This will be a fun day of golf in which to make new friends and greet old friends from the surrounding areas. Coffee and refreshments will be furnished in the club house at 8:00 A.M. and a buffet lunch following golf will be served at the DeSoto Club. Guests will be paired up with WGA Social League members. Entry fee is $44.00 per person which includes green and cart fees, refreshments and coffee, a buffet lunch and numerous door prizes. Our Village Junior Golf Committee is in need of both men and women to help in this year's Junior Golf program which starts Wed., June 6th and runs every Wed. (except July 4th) thru July 20th. The club pros and Steve from Magellan will teach you how to teach the kids in putting and chipping. Adults are also needed to accompany kids to Coronado to make sure they play safely and help them keep score. The younger kids meet Wednesdays 3:00-4:30 at Magellan and the older kids meet at Granada.
