Magellan Golf Course began as a golf school.
The facility was the 6th course to open in Hot
Springs Village and was completed in 1996.
Magellan is an 18-hole Regulation Golf
Course. In 2000, Golf Digest ranked the Magellan Golf Course as the
5th best course in Arkansas.
It's shorter than
Ponce de Leon but the championship layout measures the back tees at
6,494 yards and just 4,877 yards from the forward tees.
Facilities include golf shop, complete short game
practice area with two chipping greens, putting green and practice
sand bunkers.
Magellan hosts approximately 50,000 property owner
and visitor golfers annually.
The Magellan Course is located approximately
one-half mile northeast of the Balboa Lake Dam.
Magellan was designed by Ault, Clark, and
Associates.
The natural
setting is beautiful and the practice facilities are superb.
Magellan offers a full service delicatessen.
