Cortez is an 18-hole Championship Golf Course. In 1999, Golf Digest ranked the Cortez Golf Course as the 6th best course in Arkansas. this par-72 layout continues to rank among the top ten in Arkansas. It's scenic and challenging with sand bunkers, undulating greens and towering pine trees and is certainly one of the favorites of residents and visitors alike Facilities include a golf shop, cart storage, putting green, driving range, and restaurant.

The facility was the 2nd course to open in Hot Springs Village and was completed in 1979. Cortez was renovated in 2008.   The 8,000 square foot clubhouse has a golf shop and the Wood 'n Iron Restaurant provides a covered porch for dining while you watch players finish their round.
